Connecting to a computer or network drive from a computer running OS X in a shared learning space

Connecting to a computer running OS X

  1. On the Dock, click the Finder icon.

  1. On the menu bar, click Go.
  2. Click Connect To Server...

  1. In the Server Address field enter afp:// followed by the  computer name or IP address of the computer you want to connect to.
  2. Click Connect.

  1. Enter your user name and password.

NOTE: You must use the  user name and password you use to log on to the  computer that you are connecting to.

  1. Click Connect.
  • Your selection will mount on the desktop.

Connecting to a Windows computer

  1. On the Dock, click the Finder icon.

  1. On the menu bar, click Go.
  2. Click Connect To Server...

  1. In the Server Address field enter smb:// followed by the computer name or IP address of the computer you want to connect to.
  2. Click Connect.

  1. Enter your user name and password.

NOTE: You must use the  user name and password you use to log on to the computer that you are connecting to.

  1. Click OK.
  • Your selection will mount on the desktop.
