A specialist learning space that supports activity-based learning where Physiotherapy equipment is used by students as part of their studies. The equipment typically includes hospital beds, examination couches, models of human skeletons & anatomy, & wheelchairs. Specialist training & induction is required into safe & appropriate use of the equipment. The space will generally be subject to timetabling, either locally or centrally managed. |

Clinical Simulation Studio |
A specialist learning space that supports activity-based learning & contains specialist equipment & fittings to simulate the clinical practice experience (as appropriate for Veterinary, Medical, Dental, Social Work, Nursing, Optometry, Audiology, & Speech Pathology practices). Specialist training & induction is required into safe & appropriate use of the equipment. The space will generally be subject to timetabling, either locally or centrally managed. |

Object-Based Learning Studio |
A specialist learning space designed for object-based learning & research, that includes specialist fittings for the safe storage and/or display of unique/valuable objects, with seating for students, that may be fixed or moveable. The space is specialist because students will require training & induction in the safe & appropriate handling of the objects. The space will generally be subject to timetabling, either locally or centrally managed. |

Cinema |
A specialist learning space designed for Film & Television production or cinematic experiential viewing by students undertaking Film Studies. The space is typically unsuitable for general lectures due to the absence of a full lectern &/or writing surfaces. The space may feature fixed chairs on tiered/sloped floor OR moveable chairs at fixed benches OR lounge style furniture. The room may include extensive lighting controls & advanced sound system. The space will be subject to timetabling, either locally or centrally managed. |

Multi-Purpose Studio |
Faculty allocated specialist studio with multi-functional design intent & specialist equipment that is used for the practical work associated with the art/architecture component of the study. This space type may be used for Architecture/Design, Painting, Ceramics, Sculpture, etc. |

Dance Studio |
Faculty allocated specialist studio used for the practical work associated with the dance component of the study. The space will typically feature a sprung dance floor, specialist dance surface, dance mirrors, & barre. |

Fabrication Studio |
Faculty allocated specialist studio used for the practical work associated with the design component of the study &/or research, & containing specialist equipment that requires mandatory training & induction prior to use. This space type is applied to "Fab Labs" in Architecture/Design & Engineering & "Maker Spaces" in Engineering. |

Drama Studio |
Faculty allocated specialist studio used specifically by undergraduate & graduate students studying drama subjects with provision of the required specialist equipment (G08). The studio will typically feature high ceilings, theatre lighting, theatre curtains, & relative absence of furniture. |

Music Studio |
Faculty allocated specialist studio used specifically by undergraduate & graduate students studying music subjects with provision of the required specialist equipment. The studio is generally not sound proofed. The studio will typically feature high ceilings, wooden floor/walls/ceiling, specialist acoustic treatment, music stands, music seats & resident/stored musical instruments. The studio will be locally or centrally timetabled. The studio is likely to be used for student-directed learning & performances outside scheduled teaching activity. |
